FULL-BODIED FLAVORS AND JEWEL TONES

TOO MUCH MONEY FLOATING AROUND?

Out of (where else?) LOS ANGELES

HEADLINE: Modern Spirits Launches Haute Custom Vodkas

Eds. Note: These haute creations that won't fail to impress those of the conspicuous consumption set (aren't there already very fine vodkas out there?) but will unfortunately still leave a lingering, strangely sweet hot-house potato/rose scent on the skin of those who overimbibe. Anti-vodka editoralizing aside, we admired the brevity of this release.

"Flavor is one of the most personal expressions of taste we can share," says Melkon Khosrovian, co-owner of Modern Spirits and Haute creator. "In an industry dominated by mass-produced spirits, Haute provides the first opportunity for individuals to define what they drink and how they entertain."
The spirits makers lead clients through a five-step process to produce each custom creation, starting with a flavor profile that identifies their passions, personalities and palates. The process can take anywhere from two months on up to create a perfectly matched flavored vodka.

Due to the hand crafted nature of the final product, Haute will only accept 25 clients a year. Minimum orders begin at $15,000 for 10 cases.
